Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt Desktop Wallpapers
I’ve been visiting The Retroist a lot lately, and they have a whole assortment of retro video game wallpapers available for download. I liked the idea, but they didn’t really have anything which called to me. Inspired, I decided to make my own and share it with those of you who are interested.
The resolution used here is 1024 x 768, but with a black outline, adjusting the size should not be difficult. Here is the one I have set up on mine, taken from the start-up screen of the game which came with my first NES, Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt:

I’ll admit, it’s not one-hundred percent accurate. Normally, Mario and the duck don’t both appear at once, but I didn’t want to choose. I’d have liked to have made an animated version with Mario walking, then periodically disappearing in favor of the flapping duck, then back again, perhaps at 30-or-so-second intervals. Alas, I lack the means and the know-how.
Anyway, I hope you all might enjoy this simple piece. Perhaps I’ll do more in the future.
